About Seonaid
I am Scottish qualified teacher who is fluent in Spanish and lives in Spain.
I understand the struggles that can be faced when learning a new language and I can use that empathy to make your learning journey more enjoyable.
I moved to Spain over 15 years ago and have been teaching in International schools ever since.
Apart from my teaching qualification from the UK, I also hold a certificate in Spanish teaching from the university of Caracas, Venezuela and I have taught primary students in a British school in Spain (up to GCSE level in Spanish). I have also taught Spanish as an additional language to international students from primary to 4°ESO (Yr11/S5) in a private Spanish school. I also taught computing to Spanish speakers and English as an additional language.
Outside of school, I have tutored adults who are studying Spanish, either prepping for exams or to enable them to integrate more within the community in which they live.
From my own learning and from my experience teaching others, I believe that confidence is key. Some of us were born confident (not me!) and some of us gain confidence as we realise our objectives (me!).

My approach is to tailor the lesson style to the student. We are all different and learn in different ways so the lessons will be created on this 'best-fit' basis.
I have taught from lower primary age to adult students.
The first lesson, which is free, will be used to get to know you; to discuss where you feel that you lack confidence; and to explore your learning style.
We will set objectives and work together to make them a reality and achieve success.
