About Isla
With over 6 years of teaching experience, I specialise in helping High School and College students explore and improve their singing abilities. I have worked with more than 250 students, guiding them to develop strong vocal techniques, musical understanding, and performance confidence. My approach focuses on adaptability and encouragement, ensuring each student feels supported while pushing their limits to reach their full potential.
I emphasise practical learning through exercises in breath control, vocal range, tone quality, and expression. Alongside technical training, I incorporate performance practice to prepare students for recitals, competitions, and auditions. My students often achieve noticeable improvements in a short period, and many have won accolades for their dedication and skill.
My teaching philosophy revolves around passion and patience. I aim to create a positive, engaging environment where students enjoy learning while developing discipline and focus. I also include aspects of music theory and ear training to help students gain a deeper understanding of their art.
Every lesson is customised to meet the student’s goals, whether they aspire to perform professionally, sing in a choir, or simply gain confidence in their voice. I take pride in helping students unlock their potential, express themselves fully, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

My singing lessons are designed to adapt to every student’s learning style. I recognise that some students learn best by listening, some by reading music, and others through movement. By tailoring my lessons accordingly, I ensure each student understands and enjoys the learning process.
Creativity plays an important role in my teaching. I encourage students to experiment with melodies, styles, and vocal techniques, making each session engaging and expressive. I also approach feedback with diplomacy, guiding improvement in a supportive and respectful way.
I integrate subjects that complement singing, such as music theory, rhythm exercises, sight-singing, vocal health, and emotional interpretation of music. Students also learn performance skills, microphone techniques, and confidence-building exercises. My goal is to develop not just technical skill but also artistic expression, stage presence, and a strong connection to music.
I welcome students of all levels—beginners, hobbyists, or aspiring performers. By focusing on personal growth, creativity, and a positive learning environment, I aim to make every student’s musical journey rewarding and enjoyable.
