About Sarah

I am an MSc student in Drug Discovery at University College London, specialising in the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underpin modern medicine. My academic background in pharmacology has given me an advanced understanding of biological systems, from genetics and physiology to biochemistry and pharmacodynamics. I have over six years of professional tutoring experience, during which my students have consistently excelled at both GCSE and A-Level Biology. Many have achieved A and A* grades, with several going on to pursue degrees in medicine, biomedical sciences, and pharmacology. My teaching style focuses on developing deep conceptual understanding and critical thinking, the kind of learning that leads to lasting success beyond exams. I take a highly personalised approach, identifying each student’s strengths and challenges to design lessons that are structured, rigorous, and engaging. My sessions draw on real scientific examples and current biomedical research to make complex topics intuitive and relevant. I hold my students to a high academic standard but always within an encouraging and supportive environment. My goal is not just to improve grades but to inspire genuine confidence and curiosity in biology. About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make biology clear, engaging, and relevant. I tailor each session to the student’s needs; whether it’s understanding tricky A-level topics, revising for GCSE exams, or building strong foundational knowledge. I use visual explanations, exam-style questions, and real-world scientific examples from my MSc Drug Discovery course at UCL to bring the subject to life. Having studied pharmacology and biology in depth, I help students connect concepts across physiology, genetics, and biochemistry to strengthen understanding and confidence. Lessons can be structured, discussion-based, or focused on targeted exam preparation.
