As a biology tutor, I structure my lessons to ensure the maximum amount of engagement and retention. I begin each session by assessing the students current understanding and identifying key areas for improvement. Then, I use a blend of visual aids, hands-on activities and real life examples to bring complex biological concepts to life. I reinforce this using exam-style questions from the specific exam board your child is learning under. I encourage students to apply their knowledge rather than simply memorising facts. I also, tailor my teaching style to each student's unique learning preferences, whether they're visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learners.
