As an experiences tutor and current medical student at the University of St Andrews, I bring a wealth of recent, relevant experience to my role as a tutor. My background in tutoring A-level Biology students honed my ability to break down complex concepts into easily digestible information, tailoring my approach to each student's learning style.Furthermore, my flexible schedule allows me to accommodate a wide range of student needs - I'm available for tutoring sessions on both weekdays and weekends, ensuring that we can find times that work best for you.
This availability, combined with my patient and supportive teaching style, creates an ideal learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential in biology.

About the lesson

As a biology tutor, I structure my lessons to ensure the maximum amount of engagement and retention. I begin each session by assessing the students current understanding and identifying key areas for improvement. Then, I use a blend of visual aids, hands-on activities and real life examples to bring complex biological concepts to life. I reinforce this using exam-style questions from the specific exam board your child is learning under. I encourage students to apply their knowledge rather than simply memorising facts. I also, tailor my teaching style to each student's unique learning preferences, whether they're visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learners.
