About Jan
I have taught for 11 years. Three years have been tutoring. I have taught various levels of students from first grade through college. Many of these students had learning challenges. One student, with disabilities, was on academic probation and graduated from college.

I always start with the positive: What does the student enjoy? What works well? What are their interests?
If a student enjoys basketball, I’ll find or create some games that incorporate basketball. It is my goal to prevent students from feeling like this is just another class that they have to endure. I help them see that learning can be fun.
