About Orla
Hi, I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus in Voice. I’ve spent years working with choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony settings, helping singers find confidence and joy in their voices. My passion lies in training groups to sing together with clarity, emotion, and unity. I specialize in styles such as Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop. These genres bring out the beauty of harmony and the power of shared musical expression. I place strong emphasis on skills like sight singing, solfège, part-singing, and choral blend. Whether it’s matching pitch, holding harmony, or reading music, I guide singers through every step. My rehearsals are focused yet fun, combining technical training with musical expression. I’ve had great success with school choirs, college ensembles, and community singing groups. My students develop not just as singers but as confident performers and team members. I also lead rehearsals with energy and clarity, ensuring everyone feels involved and valued. Singing in a group can be one of the most joyful musical experiences. My singing lessons are designed to build a strong, confident voice through pitch accuracy, expressive delivery, and performance readiness. I work with each student at their comfort level, helping them grow steadily and feel encouraged.
For those starting as adults or exploring solo singing, I focus first on healthy vocal technique and consistent pitch. We use vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises, and targeted pitch training to strengthen control and range. Expressiveness is just as important—I guide students in finding their unique tone and emotional voice.
Different song styles like pop, ballads, soul, or even light classical pieces are part of the journey. Exploring these styles helps each student discover their strengths and develop musicality in a way that feels personal and inspiring.
Modern tech tools play a big role in my lessons. I use recording software so students can listen back, hear their growth, and identify areas to improve. Ear training apps help sharpen listening skills, while pitch correction tools provide real-time feedback for better vocal control.
