• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  As a teacher, my passion for all these subjects began during my own education, where I had inspiring teachers who sparked my curiosity. As I delved deeper into the subject, I realized the significance and relevance it held in our lives. Through teaching, I aim to kindle a similar passion in my students and empower them with knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the world. For me teaching is not just a job it’s a place where I get a chance to share my knowledge with other students.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  So the motivation behind my decision to teach comes from my own childhood experiences. I had an incredible teacher in elementary school, Mrs Babita Singh who saw potential in me and nurtured my love for learning.As I grew older, I realized the profound impact Mrs. Babita had on my life and wanted to pay it forward. I wanted to be that same source of inspiration and support for my own students. I wanted to help shape young minds, foster a love for learning, and make a positive difference in their lives. By sharing this story, I hope to inspire my students and show them that teaching is not just a job, but a calling that comes from the heart.

• How does your work help society?

  When I was in my teaching phase I joined a ngo and there I used to teach poor people and children free of cost.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role models are my mom and my teacher Mrs Babita, because both of them are teachers and their way of working in promoting equality, empathy, and social justice inspired me that’s why I admire them a lot.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  My hobby is painting, taking care of street dogs, and gardening.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One moment that stands out in my teaching career was when a struggling student, Meera, finally grasped a difficult concept after weeks of extra support. She beamed with pride, exclaiming, 'I get it now! I feel so smart!' What struck me was not just her academic breakthrough but the transformative impact it had on her confidence and self-perception. I still remember that day when she called me on her result declaration day and said mam I got 1 position in my class!! That was the best day of my life. Moments like these make all the hard work worth it and inspire me to continue creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
