My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop both technical skills and a deep love for piano. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, whether it’s exam preparation, performance, or creative exploration. Lessons are structured to build strong fundamentals in piano technique, sight-reading, and music theory.
I guide students through classical, jazz, and popular styles, helping them master rhythm, expression, and improvisation. I also provide guidance for exams like ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Levels, ensuring students feel confident and prepared. Lessons include music history and context to help students connect with pieces on a deeper level.
Creativity is a key part of my methodology. I encourage students to compose, improvise, and explore their own musical ideas. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, strengths, and interests, ensuring they are both challenged and supported.
