About Alexa
Music has been the biggest part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started singing when I first learned to speak, I began playing piano when I was 3 and, when I eventually reached school age, I picked up the viola in the fourth grade and started taking music theory classes in the ninth grade. I know that not everyone learns the same way, and that's more than okay! I am very patient and understanding, and I will do whatever I can to help my students get to where they want to be.

I believe each student is different, so I create individualized lessons for each student. I have been tutoring privately for 10 years in piano, viola, voice, and music theory. I have very strong communication skills that aid me in helping my students, as well as parents, to achieve their musical goals. I work hard to make sure my students not only understand the material they are given but enjoy it. My lessons are geared towards students from the elementary to high school levels, and I try my best to make sure the material is fun and engaging as often as possible!
