About Sarah
I am an enthusiastic biology teacher and tutor with hands on experience in industry. I was born in the US, where I graduated university and worked in healthcare for a few years while tutoring part time. I moved to the UK in 2019, where I began working within a biomedical lab for the NHS. I soon found myself teaching again, this time on GCSE, BTEC, Extended Diploma in Science and Access to Higher Education pathways. I enjoy engaging with, challenging and encouraging my learners to reach their full potential and truly gain an understanding and interest in biology (the best of the tri-sciences!!).

I am easy going and encourage questioning during my sessions to help learners cement their understanding of content. I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience across many different pathways and diplomas, which allows me to truly understand the needs of learners when it comes to assignment work, examinations, and areas where learners may struggle. I pride myself in the fact that my students have always described me as understanding and approachable, two qualities that I feel are very important in any educator!
