About Elena
I’m a recent psychology graduate with a lifelong passion for music—singing and playing flute and piano throughout school and university. I’ve been playing the flute for 12 years and achieved Grade 8 alongside my A-levels. For many years, I have personally valued music as a form of expression and a source of rebalance through life's highs and lows. It’s a privilege to help others discover and develop this meaningful skill. Facilitating mental health projects in Bali and Fiji, taught me that growth flourishes when people feel safe, supported, and truly relaxed. When joy and connection are present, learning becomes effortless and natural. I strive to create that joyful, relaxed space for my students, helping them unlock their full potential. In every lesson, I bring warmth, patience, and encouragement, honouring each student’s unique learning journey.

As a new flute teacher, I aim to create a welcoming and encouraging space that nurtures both confidence and a lifelong love of the flute. I enjoy getting to know each student’s goals—whether they’re focused on skill-building or exam preparation—and tailor personalised 30- to 60-minute lessons to fit needs. Lessons emphasise building strong fundamentals, including playing notes across an octave range, mastering scales and arpeggios, deepening comprehension of musical notation, and refining tone and articulation. I work with beginners and early grade students of all ages, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles and paces.
