About Jean

Classroom teachers get to spend, at most, 2 minutes per student per lesson, and need to cater for the specific learning of up to 150 students, approx. 30 at any one time. Some students are able to learn within this framework, however, others hit walls, as they are not getting the attention they need for their full potential.

This does not mean that the student isn't worthy of an A grade. The truth is, our school system doesn't cater for everyone, and that's why I'm here for you.
I dedicate my time & energy, both within and outside our in-situ lessons, to working with you to reach your learning abilities. My lessons are catered specific to you, and will work in tandem with your classroom lessons, ensuring that you will eventually say the words:
"I got this"

I am proud to boast that students who have learnt with me have soared from a flatline fail, to a WAM of up to 82% by the year's end. However, I am not for a second boasting myself: I'm boasting my ex students. They've always had the potential - they just needed someone to come along and show them.

About the lesson

Before we start, I want you to tell me what it is we need to work on. The best thing you can do is send me past test papers. Failing that, I will then send you a couple of questions/problems for you to work on (5 mins max worth of work), and we will go through them in our lesson. This will form the foundation of our first lesson, as I will see how your brain operates. From there, I will observe how you learn, and teach accordingly.
The more lessons we have, the more connected we will become, and the easier it will be for us to learn. I make learning simple, as I iron out every last bump, fill every gap, and commit to succeeding you to your goals.

I teach in blocks of 30 minutes, and you control how long the lesson takes. Have you learnt enough for the day after half an hour? Or are we on a roll, cramming in as much as we can before our test tomorrow, and go for the two hours? Do we want a break (unpaid) between 30 minute blocks? My time is yours (:
Typically, my students will call it a day after an hour, however, sometimes we only need to spend half an hour ironing out homework questions. Other times, my guys just want some help over the phone, in such case I will provide this at a flexible & reasonable price with you (:
