About Ilinna
I aspire to teach because I believe that the right support and encouragement can make a huge difference to a student’s confidence and academic progress. I enjoy helping students overcome challenges, understand new concepts, and realise their own potential.
My aim is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. I am passionate about helping primary students, including those preparing for SATs, develop strong foundations in English and Maths while building a genuine enjoyment of learning.

My approach focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and personalised learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and develop their skills. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each learner’s individual needs, using clear explanations, guided practice, exam-style questions, and interactive activities to strengthen understanding.
Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, allowing enough time to introduce new concepts, practise skills, and review progress. I aim to make lessons enjoyable while helping students build confidence and independence in their learning.
I am a current A-Level English Literature student and achieved Grade 9s in GCSE English Language and English Literature. I also have experience working as a Tutor at Explore Learning, supporting children with English and Maths through tailored lessons.
My lessons are designed for primary school students preparing for SATs, helping them improve their reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and maths problem-solving skills while developing a positive attitude towards learning.
