About Nyah

Hello all! My name is Nyah Le - I am a passionate teacher and lover of English. If you have a child from Yr7-12 who would like a little extra support, I would love to offer my skills!

My qualifications:
1st in Year 11 and Year 12 English advanced and Extension at a selective high school. I received a Band 6 in English advanced, and an E4 in English Extension 1. Across my entire high school career, I consistently received high distinction in English. I graduated in 2024 with an 89 ATAR - this means the current syllabus is still fresh in my mind, and I am up to date with the current techniques & preferences. On top of that, I have contacts with past HSC markers and current high school English teachers who I can run my work by.

My teaching experience:
For 2 years now, I have been teaching drama classes and music privates, so I am well versed in the world of teaching. In my experience, students cannot learn until their needs are met, so not only do I promise results, but I also promise to accommodate. That means that whether your child is neurodivergent, neurotypical, or simply buckling under external pressures, I am happy to meet them wherever they are that day.

About the lesson

Skills specific to UNPACKING AN ASSIGNMENT: Unpacking a prompt/question, analyzing your module statement/criteria to determine exactly what the assignment is asking of you, making sure your writing includes all of these elements, foolproof techniques for writing under exam conditions, effective study techniques that gain results.
5. Above all else: A STRONG PERSONAL VOICE AND PERSPECTIVE. I don't just focus on creating good students for school - I focus on creating good writers for life. This starts with the ability to think critically about the things you see, perceive ideas beyond surface level, and create a personal voice that is unique to you. I equip you with skills to keep your writing engaging for the long term - trust me, you'll need to know how to write in every stage of your life!
