About Lucy
I first started tutoring in year 9, i completed a tutoring course at my school as i wanted to volunteer for a scheme ran at my school known as `toe by toe`. This scheme helps year 7`s and 8`s who have come to the school with a reading age lower then what it should be, excel in their reading capabilities and achieve the appropriate reading age that they should be at. My role was to help year7 and 8`s read books and learn their phonics. At the end of the academic year, all students took a small exam and showed great improvement in their reading and comprehension.
I currently help as a GCSE art tutor and English tutor /classroom assistant at my school. Due to my extremely high grades at GCSE, I was offered the opportunity to help students with their up and coming exams. I have found teaching to be one of my many passions and am excited to help students beyond my school, get the best grades possible!
