About Nikita
Hi everyone!
My name is Miss van Wyk, and I am excited about sharing my love for English with you!
I am a qualified high school teacher with a year of teaching experience and four years tutoring experience. I completed my BA degree and Postgraduate certificate in education at the University of Cape Town.
As an educator, I want to help learners with their academic growth. I can assist students with writing well-structured essays, applying grammar correctly, developing their critical thinking skills, and analysing a variety of literary texts.

My online English lessons help students improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. I guide them in analyzing literary texts, structuring essays, and using language effectively.
My lessons are interactive as I model the correct pronunciation, grammar, and writing techniques, allowing students to learn through example and practice.
I try to accomodate the learning needs of each student, in an online setting, by incoporating a variety of digital tools (such as Kahoot, Quizlet and Booklet).
I ask all my clients to complete a weekly feedback survey to assess my teaching. This helps me continuously improve my skills as a teacher and refine my lessons.
