About Chelsea
I have over 10 years of experience in education and have worked as a tutor for much of that time. I truly enjoy helping students flourish academically and aim to foster a genuine love for reading, literature, and writing. My goal is for each student to feel excited and engaged with what we’re working on. I hold a Master’s degree in UX Design and have spent the past few years working as a researcher, focusing on curriculum design and classroom management. I firmly believe that by setting realistic goals, we can achieve meaningful progress together.

I love scaffolding my lesson plans to meet students at their current level. Learning happens when we stretch ourselves to tackle new skills, but not so quickly that it causes confusion or insecurity. Students should feel safe and confident that they are making progress. A typical lesson plan might include reviewing previous lessons or homework the student is working on. We then build on that knowledge by reading books and completing writing exercises together, with the goals of advancing skill, comfort, and confidence.
