About Hannah
I'm currently a first year medical student who's interested in helping students aim to achieve their target grades!
During my gap year, I taught six A level Biology students and managed to help them boost their grades for their final exams. My teaching style involves practice questions to enhance and reinforce knowledge of tricky topics. I still have my notes I've made for some of the topics which I'll be happy to send to students!
I achieved As in both GCSE and A-level maths in the past; this is a subject I also feel confident in teaching. A similar approach with practicing questions will be used for this subject as, from my experience, it's the best method to improve maths grades.
During my gap year, I also gained a qualification in cert TESOL which has helped me to understand the best techniques for teaching and taking a very student-centred approach. From this qualification, I've had many fantastic opportunities to teach foreign students English, which helps me to apply similar techniques in teaching other subjects.
Music has always been a great passion of mine! I have experience teaching two students the flute - one of whom passed their Grade 5 exam with a Merit. I have achieved up to ARSM distinction level and I truly love teaching students the best techniques and exercises to improve their flute-playing!
I would also be very happy to teach Korean for beginners who are interested in learning the language! I'm half South-Korean, half English and I lived in Korea for four years. I am happy to help those who would like to start learning this language :)
