About Lara
*Regarding my teaching experience, I have been tutoring high school and university students for many years, so I have gained a true grasp on the learning and mastering process! Additionally, I worked as a teaching assistant in a chemsitry lab at McMaster for a year!
*Regarding my education, I recently earned my Honors Bachelors of Science in Chemical Biology from McMaster University! In the coming year, I am hoping to enter a Teacher's Education program to eventually work as a high school chemistry teacher!

I have always been passionate about helping others finally understand material that they have been struggling with - especially in chemistry!
After countless years of tutoring experience, I have gained the skills necessary to help you harness your true potential.
I have always believed that education should not have to be a stressful process.
- My Approach: Inquiry-based learning = I frequently ask my students questions throughout sessions to ensure that we are on the same page! I greatly encourage students to ask me questions as well!
- Specialisation: Chemistry for grades 9 to 12
-Typical Lesson Plan:
1. Ask students if they have any upcoming tests/assignments/labs and plan appropriately.
2. Address students' concerns through reviewing material and solving practice questions.
3. Discuss personalized study strategies to encourage independence and improve their study efficiency!
4. Consistently ask students if they have any questions throughout session.
5. Finalise session by summarising the essential concepts discussed.
