About Tyler
I’m Tyler, a passionate cellist from Hull with a background rooted in Yorkshire’s vibrant music scene. I began my journey at Yorkshire Young Musicians, which ignited my love for performing. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of playing in chamber ensembles and orchestras, experiences that have deeply enriched my musical understanding.
Currently, I’m studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the guidance of Peggy Nolan, further honing my craft and expanding my musical insight. I know firsthand the self-doubt that can come with learning an instrument—I've been there myself. But with the right guidance, I believe anything is possible.
Playing the cello is more than just mastering an instrument; it enriches personality, building patience, creativity, and resilience. Teaching has become a natural next step for me, and I’m excited to help others not only grow as musicians but also develop qualities that resonate beyond music. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping students find their voice and confidence through the cello.
