Students can feel confident learning with me because I prioritize clear communication, structured lesson plans, and a teaching style tailored to each individual’s goals and pace. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player broadening your repertoire, I provide reliable guidance, constructive feedback, and a comfortable learning environment where progress truly happens. My Teaching Approach:

As a violin tutor, I focus on building a strong technical foundation to help students achieve their individual musical goals. I blend classical technique with modern, creative approaches I’ve refined throughout my training and education at Berklee College of Music. My goal is to make every student feel supported, inspired, and genuinely excited to grow.

Teaching Method & Techniques:

I combine traditional violin methods (proper posture, bow control, intonation work, and tone shaping) with interactive ear-training, rhythm development, and musical expression exercises. I adjust my methods to each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or hands-on—so lessons feel intuitive and empowering rather than rigid or overwhelming.

I also incorporate:

Real-time feedback and demonstrations
Slow-practice techniques for precision
Creative interpretation exercises
Short, achievable goals to build long-term confidence
Optional music theory integration for students interested in composition or understanding repertoire more deeply

A Typical Lesson Plan:
Every lesson follows a structure designed to keep students engaged and improving

1. Warm-up & technique check (posture, bow hold, scales, shifting, vibrato if applicable)

2. Review of previous material and progress discussion

3. New repertoire or exercises, customized to the student’s goals

4. Musicality practice: phrasing, dynamics, expression, and tone color

5. Short theory or ear-training segment (optional, depending on level)

6. Practice plan for the week with clear, achievable steps

7. No two students receive the same lesson plan—each session is shaped around their growth and motivation.

What Sets Me Apart:

16 years of violin experience combined with conservatory-level musical training at Berklee College of Music

A highly personalized teaching style that adapts to each student's pace and interests

Strong focus on confidence-building, not just technical mastery

Ability to teach across genres—not only classical, but also contemporary, pop, and improvisational styles

A supportive, positive environment that encourages curiosity and creativity

Who My Lessons Are For:

Beginners of all ages who want a comfortable introduction to violin
Intermediate players looking to refine technique and expand repertoire
Students interested in blending classical technique with modern genres
Anyone who wants to grow as a musician with guidance tailored to their goals

Whether you're picking up a violin for the first time or looking to take your playing to the next level, I meet you exactly where you are and help you grow with clarity, encouragement, and artistry.
