About Chris
I've been teaching English for over 12 years. I attained the Cambridge CELTA in 2008 and the DELTA in 2013, and over the years I have taught a very wide range of students and levels.
I specialise in helping high level students to take their English to the next level, and have a lot of experience preparing students for the Cambridge exams - First, Advanced and Proficiency.

I always aim to make my lessons enjoyable and highly challenging for my students. I have a personal and very friendly approach - I take a genuine interest in my students and their lives, which helps me to tailor my lessons to their needs and interests.
I believe in the effectiveness of conversation driven, communicative learning, combined with targeted work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In our classes, you will find that much of what we focus on emerges naturally from our conversations.
Regarding exam preparation, I aim for a balance exam practice (to improve familiarisation and confidence) with work on the strategies and techniques which can be the key to passing the exam.
