About Matt

I'm Matt and I live on a boat. I adore sports and the outdoors, but I particularly love maths. I'm a big believer in celebrating mistakes, not being afraid of making them. Yes, that's right, I LOVE mistakes! (It's where you do your best learning.) If you'd like a tutor who will encourage you, has oodles of patience, and will boost your confidence in the subject that I love then please get in contact with me so we can start our learning journey together.

About the lesson

Having taught primary for 6 years it became obvious to me that lack of confidence was a huge barrier for some children in maths. I am one of life's encouragers and will instil confidence, and remove the fear of making mistakes, which can often hold children back from progressing. I've been tutoring for two years now and have worked with children of all abilities, including helping some through the 11+/entrance exam process.
