About Thalia
I am 23 and graduated from University of Oxford last year where I studied French and German with 2.1. classification. I am now doing a Masters in Filmmaking at Goldsmith's university. Teaching has always been an important part of my life and I find one on one tutoring to be the most beneficial form of teaching as it allows the child to really get to grips with specific areas where they struggle and make strides in intellectual development.

I have been tutoring for the past five years, especially when I was on my year abroad in Paris and Berlin. My focus is on languages (French, German) and English, as my degree was centred on European literature. However, I also feel comfortable teaching most GCSE level subjects.
I focus on improving fluency, accuracy and confidence in the language, both in terms of speaking and writing. I have thoroughly enjoyed this form of teaching as it concentrates on the individual and the best specific ways of helping them develop and improve. My teaching ranges from assisting the students with their homework to tailor-made lessons on the subjects with which they struggled (Maths, English, German and French).
