About Amy
I am a Geography graduate of Oxford University, which has provided me with an in-depth knowledge of both physical and human geography. I achieved 11 A*s at GCSE, followed by A-Levels in Geography, Maths and English. This solid academic track record reflects my deep understanding of Geography and the exam techniques needed for success with the subject. I have many years of tutoring experience and approach each session with a positive and enthusiastic teaching style. I am a warm and supportive tutor with many years of experience under my belt! I deliver detailed and engaging lessons that are tailored to each student and their syllabus to ensure personalised growth. My focus is on boosting student confidence by strengthening their grasp and retention of key concepts and case studies while identifying specific areas for improvement. Alongside subject material, my lessons are dedicated to developing exam technique. This is an important focus to help students gain ease, assurance and a strategic awareness of how to approach their exams. Geography can sometimes seem quite overwhelming or monotonous in a classroom setting, but it can become engaging and truly interesting with the right teaching. My goal is to help students develop a genuine interest in the subject and build confidence in their exam technique, providing a strong source of positive and encouraging educational support.
