About Thomas
I am originally from a small Scottish village called Taynuilt, and I achieved the highest grades across all of my school examinations before going on to study Chemistry at the University of Oxford at which I am approaching the end of my first year. This background has given me a strong understanding of what it takes to succeed academically, which I aim to pass on to every student I work with.
Outside of my studies, I have a keen interest in literature and film, and I am also a dedicated runner and cyclist. I believe these pursuits reflect the discipline, balance, and consistency that I bring to both my academic work and my tutoring.

I offer tailored, Oxford-style tutorials designed to build a deep understanding rather than rely on memorisation. My teaching focuses on breaking down complex ideas into clear, logical steps, while encouraging students to actively engage, think critically, and develop strong problem-solving skills.
Each lesson is highly interactive and adapted to the student. I prioritise identifying any weak areas students may have, strengthening core concepts, and refining exam technique through targeted practice and past paper questions.
