About Alicja

Hello! I'm a final-year Experimental Psychologist at St. John's College, Oxford, predicted First Class, and am passionate about encouraging others to love Psychology as much as I do. I have a particular interest in neuroscience and biological psychology, but would be more than willing to tutor any other topics.

About the lesson

To prepare for each lesson, I shall ask the student and/or parent to send me a list of topics to be covered, ordered from the most to least important. We shall work our way through this list according to the number of sessions planned. At the beginning of each lesson, we shall address the weaknesses of the previous session, using past paper questions and essay titles that I shall create specific to these weaknesses. The session will be made up of a mixture of discussion and explanation of key concepts. I shall also provide newer research papers and articles for each topic - this original thought and creativity is especially important for obtaining the higher marks in Undergraduate exams. Progress will be measured by making quick essay plans for different essay titles at the beginning and end of each session. I shall export these so that the student has a copy to keep, and this will form the basis for revision between sessions.
