About Helena
Hi, I’m Helena, available as a tutor in a range of subjects up to GCSE (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, French and Latin. I am currently studying Physics at Magdalen College, Oxford.
I completed my IB Diploma at King’s College School Wimbledon, receiving 45 (the highest possible score, equivalent to 4A* grades at A Level), studying Maths, Physics, Chemistry at higher level and French, English and Economics at standard level. In October I will start my Physics degree at Oxford University, and was awarded the U6 Year Prize for Physics at King’s.
My decision to do the International Baccalaureate was driven by a genuine love for learning multiple subjects and I am passionate about sharing this enthusiasm with those I teach.

The style of my tutoring is tailored to the individual student and their needs in a particular subject, but it is always based on patience and encouragement. I find the screen-sharing tool where I can explain concepts and students can also show me their workings especially effective in conjunction with an online lesson format. I use the zoom format for lessons which I find to be an effective medium for 1:1 lessons. The typical length of a lesson is 1hr, but this can be adapted to the needs of the student.
I am available for booster work during Christmas, Easter and Summer vacations, or selectively on weekly basis by arrangement.
