About Sophie
This may sound cliche, but I have always loved maths and science and I want to share my passion for the subjects with my students! Learning should be fascinating and never feel like a chore, and I hope that my lessons will never leave a student feeling bored.
I have spent many years in secondary school trying various study methods and I think I have mastered teaching students how to balance results with efficiency, ensuring they get the grades they want without having to overwork themselves.
I am about to enter Oxford this year, and having achieved 12 9s at GCSE and 4 A* at A level, a score of 89% on the PAT and an average of 9/10 in Oxford interviews, I know the tips and tricks to acing exams and would love to help my students do the same!

I cater my lessons to whatever my students would like to focus on - whether it be teaching them a specific topic to aid their fundamental understanding, going through questions alongside them to master those pesky mark schemes or just to discuss the subject on a higher level outside of the school curriculum. I always ensure that my students are happy to ask questions if they are ever unsure and that they should not be afraid to make mistakes! Lessons are normally 1-2 hours and I have been tutoring for the past two years in and out of school. I'm happy to tutor anyone from age 11 - 18 in maths, further maths, physics or chemistry, and to help with PAT/ESAT (Oxbridge/Imperial entrance tests) or university interviews.
