For the last decade I have helped students turn complex ideas in Politics, Philosophy, Religion, Law and History into clear, memorable schemas they can actually use in high-stakes exams. I specialise in impactful tutoring: carefully sequenced explanations, targeted exam practice and precise feedback that builds confidence as well as grades.

About the lesson

My teaching practice is strongly grounded in academic research, supported by an MSc in Learning and Teaching
from Oxford University. I am dedicated to using evidence-based methods such as interleaving, spaced repetition,
clear modelling, guided practice, and maintaining enthusiasm through high rates of success. Students know me for
encouraging memory tricks including mnemonics, dual coding and (sometimes) real props!

Lessons take place in PencilSpaces, an online classroom built specifically for teaching and tutoring. It combines
video, an interactive whiteboard and document sharing in one space, so we can talk, write, and work through
learning activities together in real time. I allocate each student their own 'space' making it much easier to revisit
and revise from previous lessons.

When I intervene for revision, my students regularly progress at least a grade higher. One recent parent
commented, "You took a boy in absolute despair over his ability, and with very little interest in the subject, and
turned him around completely. "
