About Mowon
My name is Mowon, and I am a Medicine undergraduate at the University of Oxford with over three years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. I achieved top grades at GCSE and A-Level, and have a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. I take a structured and supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on clear explanations, exam technique, and personalised learning. I aim to help students not only improve their grades, but also develop confidence and independence in their studies. I am reliable, well-organised, and committed to delivering high-quality, professional lessons tailored to each student’s needs. My goal is to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is structured, personalised, and exam-focused. I begin by identifying a student’s strengths, gaps in understanding, and learning style, and then tailor each lesson accordingly. I focus on building a strong conceptual understanding before applying this through exam-style questions, helping students understand both the content and how to use it effectively in assessments. I also place emphasis on active questioning, clear explanations, and developing students’ confidence. Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level, and concentration. I am flexible and happy to adjust lesson length to suit individual needs. I am a Medicine undergraduate at the University of Oxford with over three years of tutoring experience, teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths at GCSE level, and Biology at A-Level. I have supported a small number of students on a one-to-one basis, all of whom achieved grades 8–9 at GCSE and A at A-Level*. I also have experience preparing students for medical school applications and interviews, including MMIs and Oxbridge-style interviews. My lessons are suitable for GCSE students (ages 14–16) in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths, as well as A-Level Biology students (ages 16–18). I offer online lessons, making sessions accessible and flexible for students regardless of location.
