About Ash
I am a gap year student starting Medicine at Oxford this year. Having achieved straight A*s in both GCSE and A-level I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and exam experience. For the last 2.5 years I have taught students of various abilities in Maths and Science. Last year a student scraping grade 4s began lessons with me jumped 2 grades and is now studying at the sixth form of their choice. Having gone through the Oxbridge and UCAS application for medical school twice myself, I have a strong insight into what makes a strong application. I am passionate about access and social mobility having come from a state school background myself, so understand many shouldn't be limited by their background and therefore don't charge extortionate prices!

My teaching method is personalised to each of my students' weaknesses, whether that is understanding of a topic, application or exam technique. II always provide my students with an easy to understand set of notes and work through practice questions, helping them understand how their papers are marked according to their syllabus. My lessons have a relaxed and friendly environment and I work to build active recall and spaced repetition into classes as it yields long term learning.
