About Taro
I just finished my first year at Oxford Medical School and I’m thrilled to share my passion for helping students excel in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. With over two years of experience tutoring students from the ages of 7 to 18, I’ve honed my skills in various subjects, including Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. I’ve worked consistently at a tuition centre in the past and also offer private tutoring, so I’m confident in my ability to tailor my approach to meet the individual needs of each student. My tutoring experience includes helping students achieve top grades from 11+ to A level, in Maths whilst also helping students with Biology and Chemistry. I’m proficient in AQA for Chemistry and Biology, and both AQA and Edexcel for Maths. I’m also happy to assist with medical school applications and interview prep for students in Year 13. In general I consider myself an active person so love sport, mainly rugby, whilst also fishing and surfing from time to time!

I believe in creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different approaches. I keep the lessons engaging by discussing solutions and optimal strategies for answering questions. I also focus on helping students develop pattern recognition skills, which are particularly important for subjects like Maths. One of the advantages to choosing me is my recent experience of taking the exams. Having taken these exams within the past couple of years, I can relate to the stresses and concerns of exam preparation. I’m also happy to share the methods I used to manage my own stress and struggles, which I believe can be beneficial for students as well. I’m confident that my tutoring approach can help students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I’m eager to share my expertise and help you achieve the best grades possible.
