About Kiran
I am soon to graduate from a philosophy masters at Oxford. I am planning to work in academia in the long term, so I am also happy to provide information about that if requested! I find teaching incredibly rewarding, and am glad of the opportunity. I find that talking about a philosophical issue, even for the hundredth time, never ceases to shed new light on the topic, or provide new angles.

I would say my approach is friendly, methodical, and question and answer based. Often the most valuable teaching moments come when the student is asked a question they don’t immediately know the answer to, and for which there might be no obvious answer. It’s at those times that one learns more about the structure of thought which one is investigating in philosophy.
I have 300+ hours of tutoring experience, mostly in propositional and first order logic. My lessons are normally around an hour in length, but I’m happy to adjust to the needs of the student. I have tended to tutor undergraduates, but am also happy to tutor A-Level students.

Kiran & I studied Philosophy together at the Master's level. His dedication to Philosophy is as great as anyone I know, and his knowledge within the subject is impressive in both its breath and its depth. For as long as I have known him, Kiran has jumped at every opportunity to share what he knows, from revision classes to guest lectures to long conversations in the common room. His careful thinking and talent for clear explanation have served him excellently in these contexts, and anyone who works with him as a tutor should expect to benefit from these same skills.
