About Khushi

Exam season offer: Free tutoring and exam consultation to help you find the best tutor/s, study techniques, exam prep (30 minutes) + free trial lesson (30 minutes).

Hi! I’m Khushi - a graduate from the University of Oxford. I achieved A*A*AA at A Levels and have been tutoring for over 5 years. In that time, I’ve worked with more than 100 students, completing over 2000 hours and many of whom have gone on to achieve top grades and secure places at universities such as Warwick, UCL, and Cambridge. What I’m most proud of is not just the results, but the lasting relationships

Expanding to a team

As demand for my lessons has grown, I now also run a small, trusted team of tutors in UK who share my teaching style and high standards. This allows us to cover a wider range of subjects and levels, while still guaranteeing the same quality and support that I’ve built my reputation on. Whether you’re learning with me directly or with one of my team, you can expect the same dedication, clear communication, and results-focused teaching.

Our approach

We focus on making lessons clear, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. Alongside subject knowledge, we provide study techniques, revision strategies, exam preparation like past paper practice, and personalised guidance to help students feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Get in touch

You can reach me here on Superprof (I usually reply within minutes, and always within a few hours). I’d love to help you achieve your goals, whether that’s excelling in exams, building confidence, or reaching your dream university. Let’s get started!

Teaching methods include explaining as many times until the student grasps the concept, assignments (depending on how free the student is), working together to solve questions so that the student gets practical experience of potential questions and working with the person to suit their personal way of studying to have as much effect as possible.

Time is taken to efficiently prepare a lesson for my students, including searching for relevant past papers, online resources and sites and any other articles that I then share with them during our classes. Classes include screen sharing, whiteboards, PowerPoints, discussions and much more that ensures a great grade.

I have never had a student getting any grade below a B in final exams, and most students get As and A*s (8s and 9s) all the way up to A levels.

  • Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

In my village, my first computer memories are hazy, but I vividly recall the daily excitement of my dad's return with his laptop. As a young enthusiast, I'd eagerly explore MS Word, typing random stories and delving into settings. The laptop became my creative haven, each day a new adventure of discovery. Those early moments, fueled by curiosity, unknowingly laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for technology.
  • What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

The potential turning point I foresee is the widespread adoption of quantum computing, offering unprecedented problem-solving speeds. Ethical considerations in technology development are crucial, ensuring a responsible and positive impact on society.
  • Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

As a third-year computer science student at a Russell Group university, I specialize in algorithms, programming languages, and artificial intelligence. My interest lies in the practical applications of technology and its societal impact. This expertise is crucial in developing efficient software, creating innovative solutions, and contributing to the evolving landscape of technology.
  • Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

I find inspiration in visionaries like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg, who have made indelible contributions to the tech industry. Their entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and ability to bring transformative ideas to fruition inspire my own aspirations in the field. However, I also look up to pioneers in academia and research, such as Alan Turing and Grace Hopper, whose groundbreaking work laid the foundation for modern computer science. These figures inspire me to balance practical applications with a deep understanding of theoretical concepts.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

In my second year, I encountered a challenging coding project that required applying complex algorithms to solve a real-world problem. Despite initial apprehension, I chose to collaborate with classmates who shared my passion for problem-solving.

As we delved into the project, I was struck by the power of teamwork in computer science. The diversity of perspectives and skills within our group led to creative solutions that I might not have considered on my own. We faced setbacks and encountered bugs, but the collaborative spirit prevailed.

This experience taught me the importance of effective communication in coding projects, as well as the value of leveraging collective intelligence. It reinforced the idea that the field of computer science is not just about writing code; it's about collaborating, problem-solving, and continuously learning from both successes and challenges. This anecdote remains a valuable lesson as I navigate the dynamic landscape of computer science in my third year.
  • What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

I would reassure them that feeling overwhelmed by IT is a common initial reaction and completely understandable. I would share that complexity is inherent in the field, but it's also what makes it incredibly diverse and interesting. As a computer science student, I'd suggest breaking down the learning process into manageable steps. Encouraging them to start with the basics, gradually building up their understanding, and seeking support from resources like online tutorials or study groups could make the journey more approachable. I'd emphasize that persistence, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are key qualities in navigating the complexities of IT, and that everyone, regardless of their starting point, can develop a solid foundation with time and dedication.
  • What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

I have a passion for playing the guitar and dancing. These pursuits offer a welcome balance to the logical and structured nature of computer science.

Playing the guitar allows me to express creativity and emotions through music, providing a refreshing contrast to the analytical thinking required in programming. It's a therapeutic outlet that helps me unwind and fosters a different kind of mental agility.

Dancing, on the other hand, is a physically engaging and social activity. In computer science, much of the work is solitary and cerebral, so dancing serves as a lively counterbalance. It enhances my physical well-being, coordination, and offers a vibrant community outside the confines of code.
  • What makes you a Superprof in IT?

In my third year as a computer science student, I bring four years of tutoring experience to the table, establishing myself as a Superprof in IT. My academic background equips me with a solid understanding of computer science principles, and my time-tested tutoring skills allow me to adapt to diverse learning styles. I stay current with the latest developments in the field, ensuring that I provide students with relevant and up-to-date insights.

Beyond my technical proficiency, I'm driven by a passion to instill not just knowledge but also enthusiasm for IT. This holistic approach, coupled with a commitment to fostering a genuine understanding of the subject, distinguishes me as a Superprof who goes beyond the basics to cultivate a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for my students.
