About Laura
I have a First Class degree in English Literature from Oxford University and am enrolled in an MA at UCL in Contemporary Literature. I was a Kumon English teacher for a year and currently run a Short Fiction critique service.

I base my classes around close reading of the primary literature and analysis of the student’s written submissions.
I believe that combing through a literary text together is crucial for helping the student understand the nuance of the work, whilst close attention to the students own essays helps focus on the minutiae needed to increase levels of sophistication:
