About Laura
Originally from Spain, I was born in Madrid and completed my secondary education in Barcelona. At 18, I moved to London to pursue higher education, earning a BA from King's College London and an MA from Birkbeck. During my studies, I taught at homework clubs in various secondary schools across London and provided private tuition to students of different ages.
Following graduation, I joined my alma mater as a Learning Advisor, where I guided university students of various ages and academic levels. Before starting my DPhil (PhD) at Oxford, I spent three years teaching Humanities (History, Global Politics, Geography, TOK) at IB World Schools in Mumbai, India.
Beyond academics, I have a passion for reading, particularly enjoying philosophy, in-depth articles from The New Yorker, classic literature, and graphic novels. I’m also an avid movie enthusiast, appreciating everything from independent films to blockbusters, cult classics, and more. My interests extend to amateur filmmaking and scriptwriting. I also enjoy exploring museums and cooking.
