About Naomi
I am a student who has tutored on a volunteer basis before and taught myself Latin to A* at GCSE before I did my A levels under a teacher, so I know exactly what course of study to follow to get you up to that standard as well! I was always very interested in the Ancient world myself and I'm very keen to help close the gap between the state and private sectors and give the oppportunity to experience Latin to those who might not otherwise have it until University - or ever!

I am happy to work with anyone from a beginner level up to year 12 and to follow the goals that you set.
For a beginner, I would base my lesson on the Cambridge Latin course to allow the student to appreciate the culture and stories surrounding the language without being initially bogged down by rules and memorisation, but I would be willing to move quite rapidly with an able student, and it is possible to sit a GCSE within a year.
With more advanced students, I am keen to involve more complex exercises like prose composition and translating out loud early on. This can be very challenging but only help to solidify your grasp of grammar, and to give you a real sense of achievement!
