I assess the ability of the student in a subject and then tailor the lesson to them, using appropriate resources and challenging them if needed. As a student who often felt under-challenged in school, I know which extension activities work best. My English Literature lessons will broaden a pupil’s sensitivity to style, audience and linguistic purpose; GCSE Spanish lessons will develop a secure foundation of knowledge needed for the exam.
