About Alexander
Latin and Classical Greek are a ticket of entry into the fascinating study of the Classical world, which itself offers us a critical lens with which to view the world around us. The way in which we often teach Classical languages differs from the methods typically employed in MFL, and the focus on explicit grammar helps to train the mind in unique and rigorous ways. These languages belong to all of us, and I believe that all should have access to the myriad benefits they can bring.

I firmly believe that Latin and Classical Greek are for everyone. I prioritise active use and manipulation of the languages, and strive to furnish learners with the skills and confidence they need to tackle passages for themselves.
I have taught Classical Languages and Classical Civilisation both in the classroom and in private tuition settings. I have taught all three subjects to GCSE and A Level.
