About Hugh
I live in London, with my wife and 3 children, and have taught all age groups from 8 up to adult. I have a doctorate in ancient Greek philosophy, from Oxford University, but think that the demand for maths tuition might be greater than for that!

Each tutee's needs are different. I will try to ascertain early on what is wanted from the sessions. Is it simply to get a qualification with a particular grade, is it it to catch up with contemporaries, or to fly high? Then I will try to make sure the student is engaged and work out with him/her what works best. Whether it's games, tests, singing, seeing the real life application of what we are studying, we'll find a way to make the topic interesting.
