About Freddie

My background is in industrial design, with a specialism in transportation design. I’ve worked in several prominent design studios, designing train interiors and exteriors around the world, as well as aircraft seating and interiors for major airlines. In many of these studios I took on mentorship and training responsibilities, which developed into a genuine passion for teaching.

My particular areas of interest and expertise are:

- CAD skills
- CMF (Colors, Materials & Finish)
- Design Research and Presentation
- Visualisation techniques
- Manufacturing processes & prototyping

About the lesson

Whether you’re looking to elevate your final-year undergraduate or MA project, or need ongoing support with your GCSE/A-Level design studies, I’m here to help you reach your goals. I take an approachable and friendly teaching style, aiming to help design concepts and skills truly click. Sessions are tailored to you: a space to deepen your understanding of design, focus on areas you’d like to strengthen, and build confidence and knowledge across all aspects of the discipline.

Our first session is typically a 30-minute informal assessment of your current abilities. We’ll also discuss what you’d like to achieve from tutoring and set realistic goals for future sessions. This introductory meeting is free of charge. Ad-hoc sessions are also available if you need quick, on-the-spot support.

Full sessions are 1 hour in duration.
