About Cleo
I believe that great music begins with strong fundamentals and a positive attitude. As a Flute tutor with 15 years of experience, I teach school and college students using lessons that are enjoyable, practical, and focused on long-term improvement.
Students learn breathing control, posture, finger coordination, scales, rhythm, articulation, tone quality, and expressive performance. I encourage students to stay motivated by celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.
Watching learners grow into confident musicians has been the most rewarding part of my teaching career. Along with flute, I teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm exercises, beginner improvisation, and performance preparation.
My goal is to inspire students to continue learning and enjoying music throughout their lives.

My teaching philosophy is to guide students towards becoming confident and expressive flute players. I follow a teaching approach based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity, ensuring every lesson is practical, enjoyable, and meaningful.
Students develop strong fundamentals through breathing exercises, posture correction, rhythm, note reading, finger placement, and tone production. As they progress, they master articulation, scales, musical expression, improvisation, and concert preparation.
Motivation encourages students to continue improving with confidence. Communication allows me to explain concepts clearly through demonstrations and practical exercises. Integrity helps me teach honestly while respecting every student's learning journey.
Creative activities include favourite songs, musical games, listening exercises, ear training, duet performances, and rhythm practice. Besides flute, I also teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, and performance coaching.
