I am an Orton Gillingham Academy Fellow, retired graduate school professor from Rivier University, author of the book Developing Classroom Testing for RTI Grades 1 Through 6, presenter at national conferences, talk show host for The Holding Hour on WSMN Nashua, NH, host of Education Matters on Nashua Public Television, and Director of The Reading Foundation in Amherst, NH.

I follow the traditional Orton Gillingham lesson plan using multisensory techniques. Content area comprehension activities are often included in my lessons as well. I customize the lessons to the unique and individual needs of my students. For students who need phonology instruction, I follow a structured lesson that is designed to bring the student from where he/she/they are currently functioning all the way through distinguishing phoneme differences between fine contrasting speech sounds.
