About Bill
I have been teaching chemistry in various ways for around a decade now. I am in my final year of PhD in organic synthesis, so I am very knowledgeable. I also remember what it was like trying to learn it for the first time, how overwhelming it can seem. I see students look at the material and think it's too much to memorize or its impossible. I teach things in a way where minimal memorization is needed. Identifying the patterns in reaction mechanisms rather than teach them each as something separate that needs to be memorized.

My lessons are catered to undergraduate students studying chemistry, but I have experience tutoring high school students as well.
I tutor by going through problems with my students while using chemistry drawing software. I then provide my students with a copy of organized notes I generate for them to help them review for tests/exams.
I have had second year organic students who failed their first midterm but ended up with above 90% in their course after taking sessions with me. I am good at identifying students unique was of learning and catering my lessons to suit them best.
