About Dawn
Tackling 3 years of tutoring means I treat organic chemistry as a language rather than just a list of reactions. It feels like deciphering a map where resonance and acidity provide the actual coordinates for movement.
I work with MCAT candidates and biochemistry students who struggle to visualize the flow of electrons during mechanism drawing. Helping others master retrosynthesis or carbonyl chemistry requires a sharp eye for detail.
My work at the Perelman School of Medicine keeps me focused on the specific concepts that the AAMC tests hardest. I enjoy the process of turning isomerism and amine synthesis into predictable steps for my students. Working through these problems is how I stay sharp for my own clinical studies.
