About Scott
Before I started my A levels, I had my heart set out on music school. I wanted to become a violin soloist. I was a soloist with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra for a short while during one of my summer breaks.
However I changed my mind and I am currently study Law at the University of Nottingham.
Prior to this decision, my plan was to take a gap year after college, to prepare my audition for conservatories such as Julliard, Curtis, Royal College of Music etc.
However, Law school has not stopped me from practicing. I have a huge passion for violin performance. I have spent the majority of my life working hard on building my technique, and musical interpretation.
I was trained by teachers who graduated from Julliard, and the Manhattan school of music.
I have won competitions since I was a child, and will help you achieve such things.

- As concertmaster of my previous college orchestra, and current University Orchestras, it is my role to get the best out of the violins within a short time frame. I have developed good teaching skills from these roles
-Being trained by teachers from the top conservatories, I have a vast knowledge of violin technique accumulated from the past 100 years. I have a solid technical foundation.
-I will help you build your technical foundation, to produce the best sound possible.
- I will help you find the best technique for you to produce the best possible sound.
- I will teach you left hand technique using the galamian and carl flesch scale system, and the dounis method to develop left hand form.
- I will be in Nottingham for the next 3 years, you will make a lot of progress during this time.
- I have a lot of performing experience. I believe that you should not only be a good violin student, but also a good performer.
