About Jessica
I am passionate about making science engaging and helping students discover the spark that makes a subject click. As an OCT-certified teacher with an undergraduate background in science, I bring both classroom experience and a strong academic foundation to every lesson. I enjoy working with students at all levels, from building confidence in intermediate science/math to supporting senior students as they consider pursuing science beyond high school. I also have experience teaching IB and AP biology classes.

My approach is structured and tailored to each student. I begin by identifying areas of strengths and weaknesses, as well as personal interests, then building understanding through clear explanations, diagrams, relevant examples, and guided practice. Lessons are adapted to the student's goals and needs, whether they are catching up on content, working on homework, preparing for an assessment, or just working toward deeper understanding. My extensive experience has allowed me to identify common misconceptions and provide targeted support that helps students become more confident and succeed.
