About Andreia
I am currently a high school teacher with biology and science qualifications. I can teach grade 9/10 science and grade 11 biology. I have a bachelor's in science and education with years of tutoring experience. My rate is $60/hour but I am willing to negotiate if you would like more than one hour a week.

As a high school teacher with extensive experience, I tutor Grade 9 and 10 Science as well as Grade 11 Biology. My approach is clear, structured, and adaptable to each student’s needs: I break down complex ideas into simple steps, use real-life examples to make concepts engaging, and balance explanation with guided and independent practice. A typical lesson includes a quick review, introduction of new material, practice with feedback, and a short wrap-up to reinforce understanding. What sets me apart is my strong knowledge of the curriculum, my ability to quickly identify learning gaps, and my focus on building both subject mastery and student confidence. My lessons are designed for high school students who want to prepare for exams, strengthen their understanding, or extend their learning, as well as for middle school students getting ready for high school science.
