About Sebastian

I am an engineering student, constantly mentoring high school and college students, I have experience in physics, mathematics, reading and writing competitions at the state and national levels. During my sessions, I make sure that my students are never left with doubts and I do my best to make the insecurity of asking questions disappear, in addition to motivating them to continue learning not out of obligation, but for the pleasure of having more tools to know the world and develop in it.

About the lesson

Due to the fact that my classes focus on regularization, my teaching method is based mainly on the presentation of examples and my students asking questions about them, that is, my students give me the subject in which they need to reinforce their knowledge or practice, and I expose the fundamental and particular concepts of it. Later, to make the classes dynamic, I ask questions about what was previously exposed or I propose simple exercises as a challenge; By then, my students usually already have important and relevant questions ready to be thrown and I ask them to do so, so that I can explain every question to them. After we solve their questions, I propose different exercises so that they can practice what they have just learned and we can make sure, both them and I, that the topics are clear and they are ready to continue learning. In addition, it is important to point out that not all students learn in the same way and that is why I pay full attention to the needs of each of them, as well as the purposes of regularization may differ, whether it is to pass an exam or to acquire more knowledge or practice about the topic or subject.

I usually use Google Meet for the sessions because it's very user friendly, it's easy to share the details of the session and it has the option to record the sessions in case the student requires the video as means to practice again what we went through during the session.

The schedules are established according to the student's availability.

I provide review exercises for the student once the class is over, in addition to recommending bibliography so that the student can additionally review the topics they want in reliable and quality material.
